As Christmas Approaches…

Dear Friend,

It’s been quite some time since I wrote to you as we journeyed together through the Easter season and I am delighted to be back in contact with you as Christmas and the season of Advent approaches.

Since I last wrote my family and I have moved countries so it has been a time of great change for us with much upheaval. I am thankful to be in a more settled place now as Christmas approaches and look forwards to all that this season brings.

As a special thank you to you for joining the Long Walk journey earlier this year as a subscriber I am sending you the key to our post box (a password) where you’ll find all the fun gifts I will be sending you this season and beyond.

The key is: gifts (not hard to remember!). So keep it handy so you can open the postbox anytime and find it stuffed full of fun treasures this season. If for any reason you loose the key you can contact me through the contact page and I’ll remind you!

(New subscribers will receive the same key as they join and as always joining is fully free of charge and all gifts are likewise completely free, so feel free to invite friends).

One more thing to let you know is that during the Easter season a lot of people let me know they had challenges with subscribing so I am changing over my email management service to fix this. If for any reason you don’t hear from me in the next week or so please check to make sure your email address has made the leap over into the new service. It should be seamless but I am more of a writer than a web designer so please forgive me if there are any gaps. I certainly don’t want to leave you behind!

Now, I won’t be sending you a day by day reflection over Advent as I did last Easter but I will send just a few moments of quiet reflection scattered throughout this often busy season.  However one of the gifts I am tucking into our postbox in the coming days is a little gift that can keep you company throughout the whole Advent and Christmas season… so look out for it. I’ve been working on it for a while now and I’m so excited to be sending it to you very soon. I hope you find it a blessing.

I’ll be in touch again very soon.

Always,

Liz

  1. How exciting to be receiving your email! Thank you Liz.
I am good friends with Marty and Jenny (I know, isn’t everyone!) and through them my daughter , Greta, worked with Fusion for a while.
The Woods are arriving in Sydney in ten days and staying with us on arrival.
Sallie Hammond introduced me to the Easter Long Walk.
Thanks so much for all your hard work in preparing these Advent devotions, even amidst the massive move to the UK.
Looking forward to your emails with thanks and prayers for you and your family,
    Joy

    1. Hello Joy, thanks for your encouraging message. I remember you and I especially remember Greta well, please say hello to her for me. Do also give Marty and Jenny a big hug from me when they arrive. I’m supposed to be helping Marty edit one of the chapters in his book but I’m afraid that with the move I haven’t been very good. He’s very patient. Our move has been very big for us all, especially our children for whom Jamaica was the only home they knew. Thanks so much for your prayers and your encouraging note. Blessings, Liz

  2. Liz, I am really pleased to be able to celebrate Advent with my new family. Thank you so much for your hard work in this space 🙂
