The Reverse Easter Egg Hunt!

A New Tradition Celebrating The Old Story

A Reverse Easter Egg Hunt!

This may just become one of your favourite new family Easter traditions. It’s fast becoming our favourite I can tell you! Instead of an Easter egg hunt, where children race around searching out brightly wrapped chocolate eggs, and then get a dizzy sugar rush afterwards, this little activity turns everything upside-down. Instead of getting these Easter eggs, these are eggs to give away.

This is an egg hunt that you as a family or community of friends leave behind for others to find. And instead of chocolate, we leave behind sweet encouragements, strengthening words, God’s word, scattered around public gardens and spaces for strangers to find and be strengthened by.

Here’s a little family video describing how we did it…

Here’s how it works…

Step Five: Hide the eggs in a public space such as a garden or playground. Pray as you do this that these words of encouragement will find their way through to the people who need them most.
